Lionel Garcia, S.E.

Lionel García is a Project Manager at Breiholz Qazi Engineering and is a licensed Structural Engineer in the State of California.  His experience using structural engineering software in areas such as finite element methods and non-linear behavior is an asset to BQE's clients.  His graduate studies at the University of California at Berkeley emphasized earthquake engineering, analysis and design.  Lionel's involvement at BQE ranges from structural design of new buildings to seismic retrofit design as well as the preparation of probable maximum loss studies.

Lionel has worked in various hospital, schools and institutional projects.

Lionel's special interest with state-of-the-art structural engineering is a practical approach to reduce the seismic hazard in both existing and new structures.  He is a member of the Structural Engineers Association of California and the Earthquake Engineering Research Institute.
