City of Santa Monica Selects BQE to identify Seismically Hazardous Structures.

Breiholz Qazi Engineering Inc. (BQE) of Lomita California was chosen by the City of Santa Monica to inventory and clasify all seismically hazardous buildings located within the city's jurisdiction. The goal after the identification by BQE is to reduce the seismic risk for the entire community.

The identification process wil be based on the current city records, permits and structural plans. The end result will be a data base with over 25,000 buildings identifyed by their age, type of construction and the hazard class.
