BQE was selected by the City of Los Angeles and Applied Technology Council (ATC) as the consultant to develop a simplified seismic grading system for single-family dwellings.

The project named ATC-50 will result in a multiple-choice question and answer form that a trained inspector or an engineer can use on a single family home.  Completing the form, will take between 45 to 90 minutes.  Upon completion, the property will be graded giving the homeowner an estimate of the expected performance of his/her property.

Insurance agencies, Mortgage banks, building inspectors and homeowners will all benefit from the industry standard ATC-50 Form.
